FEB 2017 GREEN DRESSING GOWN MONKEY

Feb 2017 , a Monkey in a green dressing gown is launched, green tea tea bags are the reason for the green gown, the monkey and the gown are identical to the white gown monkey right down to the M monogram.

2017 RED NOSE DAY MONKEY

PG tips has unveiled its laugh-tastic limited edition pack ahead of Red Nose Day on Friday 24th March.

Monkey takes centre-stage in his very own Red Nose and new dapper jacket and each pack is complete with a joke inside, making it easier than ever to share a laugh over a cuppa.

The limited edition pack is part of PG tips’ mission to raise one million laughs for Red Nose Day, by encouraging the country to raise money and share their funny jokes on social media using the hashtag #1MillionLaughs.

2015 PG TIPS REBRAND - NEW MONKEY ADVERTS

In 2015 PG Tips rebranded their products, as part of this re-brand the Monkey adverts were changed to monkey observing absurd things with the catch phrase " Keep it tea"

ITV DIGITAL

ITV Digital used Monkey and AL (Johnny vegas ) in a series of adverts , purchases of ITV Digital were sent a free Monkey toy. The whole campaign was considered a massive success. When ITV Digital went in to liquidation the soft toys were in very high demand one sold for £150.00 on Ebay, The Gadget shop purchased the remaining Monkeys and sold them through there retail stores. A monkey toy was seen in the second series of the Office and this caused a rise in popularity for Monkey.

A TALE OF TWO CONTINENTS - MONKEY MOVIE

Monkey has also starred in his own Movie , this was a short advertising film shown in cinemas at the beginning of certain films , the film was released on 21st March 2008 , Film was called "A TALE OF TWO CONTINENTS" its all about Monkey trying to make the perfect cup of tea. The film was also given away on DVD and the Monkey tea towel available features the film.

In the late 2000s PG Tips started to do limited edition offers of Monkeys packed with tea below is one of the first, he one of the smallest as well

BATH ROBE MONKEY

 

These monkeys appeared late 2014 in Sainsburys as a limited edition, however sthe time of writing these they are still available in B&M stores for £3.99 , they have been in some stores for as low as £2.99. they are 16cm Monkeys with an actual towelling bath robe , the robe has a embroided M on the left chest.
